Jason Mueller - Assistant Coach - Cross Country/Track & Field Distance

Jason Mueller is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers. He primarily works with the men's cross country team in the fall and the distance athletes during the track seasons. Prior to CU, he was an assistant at the University of Wisconsin from 2004-07, one of the most successful NCAA Division I programs in the nation. Mueller was a highly decorated high school and collegiate athlete. He was a three-time Ohio state champion, nine-time all-state honoree, two-time All-American, the Nike Indoor National two-mile champion and the Nike Outdoor National runner-up. In college he was a four-year team captain for Michigan State, where he was the two-time team MVP and a two-time NCAA national qualifier. A native of Shelby, Ohio, Mueller graduated from MSU in 2003.

Matthew Barreau - Assistant Coach - Cross Country

Matthew Barreau is in his first season at Concordia. He spent the past three years as the distance coach at Portland State University, where he coached athletes to 12 all-conference, one all-region, and one USATF Jr. National All-American honors. His athletes were responsible for 158 PSU Top- 10 marks, 27 PSU school records and 17 PSU freshman records. In just three years, his athletes accounted for nearly half of the school records and a third of all top-10 marks in the distance events. His athletes also had over 50 academic all-conference honors and maintained a 3.10 grade point average. A native of Springfield, Oregon, Barreau is in his 10th year of coaching, with stints at Western Oregon University, Oregon State University, Adams State College, as well as Thurston, Central, and Glencoe High Schools.

Tim Badley - Assistant Coach - Cross Country

Tim Badley is in his first season as an assistant for the Cavaliers. He spent the last three years as an athlete on the cross country and track and field programs. He was a two-time All-American athlete, after finishing fourth in the indoor 5,000-meter run and second in the outdoor 10,000 at the 2008 NAIA National Championships. Badley earned two all-region honors in cross country (2005, 2006), and was an all-conference athlete eight times. He was a four-time Cascade College Conference Champion, twice in cross country (2005, 2006) and twice in the outdoor 5,000. He also helped lead the Cavalier team to a 2006 CCC title and a 20th-place finish at the NAIA national championships. In 2005 he qualified individually for the NAIA national cross country meet.
