Hired in April of 2007, Jason Dormeyer is in his first season as sports information director for Concordia University, Portland. He came to CU after spending three years at North Dakota State University, helping the Bison athletic media relation department through the process of transitioning from an NCAA Division II to a Division I institution.

He was responsible for the NDSU soccer, cross country and track and field teams while assisting the office with duties in all other sports as well as taking a primary role in establishing the school’s All-Access web site which featured live on-line audio and video content.

A member of College Sports Information Directors of America, his Bison soccer media guide was recognized by CoSIDA as "Best in the District" in 2006, ranked ahead of tradition-rich programs like the University of Nebraska. During his stay at NDSU, he helped eight student-athletes earn academic All-America® honors from CoSIDA.

Before joining the NDSU staff, Dormeyer worked for the Amateur Wrestling News magazine based in his hometown of Oklahoma City. He also was the assistant editor of Oklahoma Track and Field News, a newsletter that covered high school and college track and field in the state.

Dormeyer ran cross country and track for two seasons at the University of Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II school located north of OKC. He continued his education at North Dakota State University and earned a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead in mass communication with emphasis in print journalism. He is currently working towards a M.A in sports management at NDSU.
