In her sesond season with the Cavs, Christine Nelson joined the Cavalier staff from Yelm (Washington) High School, where she was a teacher and coach for eight years, serving as the school's head volleyball coach, a junior varsity girls basketball and C boys basketball coach while at the school. Among with her coaching duties, Nelson also teaches and supervises students at Concordia. Nelson graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, where she received her B.A. in physical education, with a minor in history. Nelson earned her maste'’s in education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Originally from Seattle, Wash., Darcy Madison joins the Cavalier women's basketball coaching staff after graduating from CU in 2007 with a degree in secondary education/physical education. A two-year basketball player for the Cavs during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons, Madison was the team's leading scorer and captain as a senior. After graduating, Madison coached high school basketball at Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Wash., where she currently resides. Both parents are Concordia graduates and former basketball players for the Navy and White.
